INCLUDES - What will the workshop include?

Each workshop includes everything you need for a relaxed, creative experience. You’ll get a friendly introduction to the session, expert guidance through every step and a hands on explanation of the tools and materials. I encourage you to ask questions, you can never ask too many questions - I love curiosity! You’ll make and take home your masterpiece (or arrange collection if it needs to be fired) in a colourful party bag, ready to carry your pride-bursting creation safely home.

WEAR - Should I wear my scruffy clothes? Will I get mucky?

Yes!     Art = Messy Fun!
Aprons are ready and waiting, however, please wear something you don't mind getting colourful if using acrylics and inks, as they can stain permanently. The good news is, clay, glaze, watercolours and pva wash right out! 
The muckier you get, the more magic you're making!

Everything we practice is possible to do in your own home - once you know how.  
Even ceramics - as you can fire in my kiln for a small cost.

WHERE - Where do you do the workshop?

Location details for each session are provided in the specific workshop details on the Workshops tab of this website.

Note: for bespoke parties it can be: at yours, in a wigwam, at a party, at a wedding, in a garden, in a local hall, in a pub, in a school, in a church. Anywhere you fancy. My public liability insurance covers anywhere.  My studio with free parking outside, can be found:

DURATION - How long will my workshop be?

SKILL LEVEL - Can I have any age and skill level for a workshop?

Accepted Answer

Please check the specific workshop details on the Workshops tab on this website, there's a handy label to show suitability age and skill level. (Eg Lino cutting not suitable for children as very sharp tools, but ok for sensible teens).

Bespoke workshops and bespoke parties could be tailored to your needs: family workshops, toddlers, teens, pensioners, or just kiddiwinks, or just adults only (eg having a tipple if that's what tickles your fancy).

Eg toddlers - money box painting / plastercine pictures / play with clay / canvas painting / flower headdress.

TIME - Can I request a different time?

EXTRA TIME - The workshop went so quick can we have extra time?

Accepted Answer

Of course! It flies by because you are having fun. Extra time costs a little more per extra 30mins. Shorter time will cost the same and extra time that is unused will be rounded up. Please call me if this is unclear on 07545 340037.

Group - 30 mins: £10 each

Group - 60 mins: £15 each

1to1 - 30 mins: £15

1to1 - 60 mins: £30

Question 9

DEPOSIT - For my bespoke party, do I need to pay a deposit?

Accepted Answer

Yes for bespoke workshops a £50 non refundable deposit will secure your party date (or pay in full if you prefer).  Balance is due 14 days before the event date.

Question 10

EXPLODE - What if my clay work explodes or the glaze is weird?

Accepted Answer

This can occasionally happen, as clay is delicate and fragile before it is fired, plus glaze can be unpredictable. We don’t offer refunds, but you can book the class again for 50% of the original cost.

PAYMENT - How can I pay?

Accepted Answer

Debit/credit card is the easiest way to pay and secure your spot  - through the booking link in Workshops page.

Pay directly via bank transfer, I'll email you the details.

PayPal for online protection - paypal.me/YesICanWorkshops.

To pay with cash or a card reader (SumUp), please arrange an in-person visit before the workshop to secure your spot.

TRY SOMETHING ELSE - Can I suggest a different workshop and will it be a similar price?

Got a fun idea? Let’s try it! I’ve got about a thousand myself (but I’ll spare you the full list!). Prices are great value and worked out per project.

We can use multi media eg wax, fabric flowers, papier mache, wall paper, ink and different machines, staple gun, glue gun, rivet machine, sewing machines, laminating machine the list goes on!

PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO - Will there be photography & video?

Yes, there will be photography, as it’s great to have current workshops to promote my business. So please let me know if you do not want to be published on my social media, or website.

LEGAL - Are you insured and DBS checked? Can I see your certificates?

Accepted Answer

*****Yes, yes and yes.(need to get asap)****. Certificates can be shown in person, at your request. I can also show you my Safeguarding Children certificate and my MHFA (Mental Health First Aider) certificate at your request.

Question 15

CANCELLATION POLICY - What happens if I need to cancel?

Sometimes life gets in the way of fun and you might need to cancel.

Within 14 days notice: 
All parties / workshops are 100% non refundable

15 or more days notice:
Groups of 6 or more or bespoke parties: all monies refunded less non refundable deposit of £50 
Individual bookings: refund in full

OFSTED - Are you Ofsted Registered?

Art and Craft isn't required to be registered with Ofsted when tuition is the focus (along with sport, performing arts, religious, cultural or language study).

PRIVACY & DATA NOTICE

Yes I Can! Creative Workshops values your privacy and follows UK GDPR guidelines. We only collect the personal information needed to manage your bookings and stay in touch with your consent. We never share your details with third parties. We often take photos or videos during workshops to celebrate creativity online - please let me know if you’d prefer not to appear in them.
